The Turin Giants Name Former Italy Manager the Experienced Gaffer
Juventus have appointed ex- Italian national team boss Spalletti as their manager for the remainder of the campaign.
The 66-year-old takes over from the Croatian manager, who was dismissed after the Serie A side's defeat by Lazio on Sunday.
The former boss came on board in March to replace Thiago Motta but departed after seven months at the end of an eight-match winless run.
Under Spalletti, Napoli clinched the Serie A championship in 2022-23 prior to assuming the Italy role, after the team's failure to reach the 2022 World Cup with Mancini at the helm.
He helped them qualify for Euro 2024 but were eliminated in the round of 16 by Switzerland.
However, Spalletti was sacked by Italy in June following a loss to Norway in World Cup qualifying, as Italy faced the possibility of not making a third World Cup in a row.
Spalletti has also managed Inter Milan, Roma and Udinese in Serie A and secured two Russian Premier League titles with Zenit St Petersburg.
Juventus were temporarily led by Massimo Brambilla during the 3-1 victory over Udinese on Wednesday placing them seventh in the Serie A standings - trailing leaders Napoli by six points after nine matches.
In the Champions League, they sit 25th in the league phase, after recording one defeat and two ties in the initial three fixtures.
